We offer to read the new strategy and methods of activity of the Instituion “Intercultural Dialogue” for 2013 developed with and approved by our friends – experts and representatives of different social groups of the Belarusian society.
New strategy of the Institution “Intercultural Dialogue” for 2013
Goals:
- to strengthen Belarusian subjectness in the world;
- to broaden the context of the intercultural dialogue;
- to foster comprehensive constructive dialogue with European and American nations.
Methods:
- dissemination of the positive knowledge about Belarus in the world through promotion of the best achievements in the fields of culture (professional and popular), science, education, business, religion, and others;
- international interdisciplinary research and presentation of the results (publications, conferences, forums, seminars, exhibitions) in intercultural dialogue (at national and international levels).
Areas of activities in 2013:
- organizational development (sthrough supporting the activities of volunteers, launching the Board of Trustees, fostering close relations with organizations in other countries;)
- further development of Belarusian-American dialogue through strengthening cooperation with our American partners and implementation of projects;
- facilitation of Belarusian-European dialogue by means of implementation of international scientific and educational projects.
Tasks of activities in 2013:
- to conduct a round table “Intercultural Dialogue: Contemporary Paradigm and Experience of the Neighbors” in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Minsk (May 2013);
- to prepare, publish and have a presentation of the book reflecting the results and findings of the round table (September 2013);
- to write and publish a book covering the results of the trip and research in the U.S.A.;
- to organize international exhibitions of Belarusian arts;
- to conduct several master classes on Belarusian applied arts;
- to ensure and organize the participation of Belarusian delegations in several major international conferences and events in Europe and the U.S.A.;
- to ensure functioning of the American Club in Minsk;
- to strengthen cooperation with businesses in Belarus and abroad with the focus on economic dimension of socio-cultural entity, national peculiarities of business, business-dialogue with the U.S. and Europe, culture of entrepreneurship, innovations and investments, business culture;
- to promote the “Belarus” brand in the world, including by means of popular (cultural) diplomacy;
- to facilitate active cooperation with ministries and governmental departments in Belarus, including through participation in councils for civil consultations;
- to foster cooperation with diplomatic missions in Belarus.
