General Director of the Institution “Intercultural Dialogue” Liubou Uladykouskaja took part in the appeal of scientists, workers of culture and education, artists and relatives, members of the public to the heads of a number of state agencies and institutions to contribute to the realization of the proposed measures to commemorate the outstanding Belarusian philosopher Uladzimir Conan, who died last year.
The appeal has already received responses from the Institute of Philosophy of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the Novogrudok District Executive Committee, which have expressed support and offered cooperation, also reported on the measures yet taken. The Institute of Philosophy of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus have reported on the steps to complete the publication of the two remaining volumes of the Uladzimir Conan’s “History of Aesthetic Thought”, showed readiness to host Conan’s international readings. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus supports the proposal for the erection of the monument to Uladzimir Conan on his grave in the North Cemetery of Minsk, the idea to found the Conan’s readings and scientific Conan prize, and offers to create a commission with its participation for the realization of the proposed set of measures to commemorate Uladzimir Conan. The Novogrudok District Executive Committee have reported, among other things, on the start of preparing exhibitions and events commemorating U.Konan in the Novogrudok District and considers useful to held the Conan’s readings on the Novogrudok land where the philosopher was born.
