Intercultural Dialogue and Belarus: Crisis or Chance?

On Wednesday, April 15th, at the University of Florida (USA) Dr. Liubou Uladykouskaja will make a presentation "Intercultural Dialogue and Belarus: Crisis or Chance?”. She will discuss the importance of intercultural dialogue for the nation building and development of democracy in Belarus and its continued engagement with the EU and the US.

In memory of Anatol Hrytskevich

January 20th, 2015, a well-known Belarusian historian Anatol Hrytskevich died.

Anatol Hrytskievich was born January 31th, 1929 in Minsk. In 1950 he graduated from the Minsk Medical Institute, in 1955 from Minsk Institute of Foreign Languages, and in 1958, while working as a doctor, he graduated from the Belarusian State University. And since 1959 he worked at the Institute of History of Belarus. In 1975 he became the head of the Minsk Institute of Culture (since 1993 it's named the Belarusian State University of Culture). In 2001-2005 he was the president of the World Association of Belarusians "Batskauščyna" ("Fatherland"), later he served as its honorary chairman.

Jan Karski. The Man of Freedom

The historical exhibition "JAN KARSKI. MAN OF FREEDOM" will be opened in Minsk on October 6, 2014. The  exhibition is organized by the Museum of the Polish History with the support of the Consulate General of Poland in St. Petersburg. Jan Karski (1914-2000) is the Polish lawyer and diplomat, a witness of the Holocaust.

Portrait of the Century

At the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Belarus Evaldas Ignatavichus the General Director "Intercultural Dialogue" Liubou Uladykouskaja participated in the opening of the traveling exhibition of united Lithuanian Artists Union "CENTURY PORTRAIT" dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Kristijonas Donelaitis.


Presentation of the book "History of Lithuania"

June, 5 at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Minsk was presented the book by Alfonsas Eidyntas, Alfredas Bumblauskas, Antanas Kulakauskas and Mindaugas Tamashaytsis "History of Lithuania» translated into Belarusian .
